Wastewater open day planned

Masterton District Council is holding a wastewater open day on Monday, December 6, where interested members of the public will be able to find out more information on proposed options for Masterton's wastewater treatment upgrade.

The open day will be held at the former information centre opposite Aratoi Museum on Dixon Street, Masterton, from 3pm until 8pm.

Displays and information about the proposed options for a long-term solution for the treatment and disposal of Masterton's wastewater will be available from 3pm until 8pm,

People will be able to talk "one-on-one" with council staff and consultants, who will be on site to answer any queries about the upgrade project.

Buses will also be leaving from the former information centre at various points during the afternoon/evening to take people on a tour of the treatment facility at Homebush, east of Masterton. The one-hour bus tours will begin at 3.30pm, 5pm and 6.30pm.
