Studio artists offer unique Christmas gifts

The annual King Street Artworks Christmas Cash and Carry exhibition is on and hosts a range of artwork from ceramics and paintings to head bands and dog coats.

Studio manager Linda Tilyard said it was a great opportunity for people to purchase unique Christmas gifts.

"It's really good, affordable artwork."

The exhibition is not about raising money, but gives artists an opportunity to showcase their work.

Some had been working on pieces throughout the year, and it was also a chance to celebrate what had been achieved throughout the year.

"It's just getting the artists' work out there," said Ms Tilyard.

She said the pieces range from $10 to $350 and the sale will run through January.

King Street Artworks Christmas Cash and Carry exhibition, 16 Queen St between 10am and 3pm on weekdays, and 10am and 2pm on Saturdays.
