Student grants are available

Lands Trust Masterton has called for scholarship applicants for the latest annual round of study grants.

Lands Trust chairman Alan Sadler said the scholarships are open to students undertaking approved tertiary or post-secondary education, including apprenticeships, who have either lived in the Masterton district or are studying at UCOL Wairarapa.

The trust support for UCOL Wairarapa means the scholarships are open to anyone who studies there, he said, regardless of whether they have lived in the trust district. Mr Sadler said education remained the main focus of the trust grants, which benefit all Masterton primary and secondary schools and grants to preschools, UCOL Wairarapa, individual students and community groups.
