WINE AND DINE: Wine was flowing at last year's Harvest Festival.

Wairarapa Wines' seventh annual Harvest Festival will take place at Gladstone riverside on March 9.

The festival showcases Wairarapa food and wine producers with nine food outlets and 16 wineries participating in the day-long festival.

Wineries from the surrounding Gladstone, East Taratahi and Opaki areas, are featured, and will be joined by a couple of Martinborough wineries this year.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Barry Saunders, Way Out West, The Shananagans and The Noodles.

A regional shuttle service will run to and from the festival site at the beginning and end of the day with an additional service meeting the scheduled Wellington train at the Carterton Railway Station.

The food and wine match judges include Ray McVinnie, Auckland, John Saker, Wellington, and Margie Blok, Sydney.

The event starts at 11am and ends at 5pm.

Harvest Festival tickets can be purchased from Ticketek.
