Red Star shoot to top of Bidwell Cup competition

Red Star have established a clear lead in the Wairarapa Cricket Association's Bidwell Cup competition.
They have 25 points, followed by Wairarapa College 22, Flight Centre Lansdowne 15, Newbolds Marist Old Boys 6, Turkey Red Greytown 3 and A1 Homes Kuranui Old Boys 1.
Greytown have won the Times-Age Cup open grade competition, finishing on 18 points.Then came Marist Old Boys 2 16, Lansdowne 2 14, Wairarapa College colts 14, Wairarapa College 2 12, Rathkeale 2 10 and Lansdowne 3 0.
Open grade results from Saturday: Wairarapa College 2 133 lost to Wairarapa College Colts 134-6, Lansdowne 2 191-7 lost to Marist Old Boys 193-3, Greytown 2 154-9 beat Lansdowne 3 75.
The draw for The Rock Twenty20 matches this coming Saturday is:
Senior: Wairarapa College v Lansdowne, Wairarapa College 1 at noon (B. Campbell and C. Cogdale), Marist Old Boys v Red Star, Wairarapa College 1 at 3pm (B. Campbell and C. Cogdale); Greytown v Kuranui Old Boys, Greytown at 3.30pm (D. Lee and H. Qualtrough), Rathkeale a bye.
