Medical centres coping with swine flu

Masterton Medical Centre has divided its clinic into two sections to
cope with swine flu patients _ one for regular sickies, and one for the
mutant influenza strain.

Wairarapa DHB's pandemic response team says medical centres are busy but coping well with the rash of patients.

Twenty-one schools have absence rates higher than 20 percent, with  region-wide absence rising to 22.6 per cent on Monday from 18.9 per cent before the weekend. As expected some schools were showing declines while others had  increases.
