Mason set for return

Former Black Cap Michael Mason will make a guest appearance when the Greytown Cricket Club holds its second old-timer's day at Soldiers Memorial Park, Greytown, on Saturday, February 23.

A former member of the Greytown club, Mason could be involved in a 15-over match between a Greytown Old Times XI and the Greytown Rugby Club.

These teams will predominantly be made up of players from yesteryear, including names such as Tennent, Pemberton, Woollet, Saxton, O'Kane, Holmes, Doherty and Gray.

This fixture, which starts at 10am, will be followed by a Bidwell Cup senior interclub match between Greytown senior men and Wairarapa College.

The day will be preceded by an old-timer's informal dinner beginning at 6pm on Friday, February 22 at Turkey Red.
