Martinborough freediver Kathryn Nevatt is keen to build on the interest created by her five dynamic without fins world record attempts at the Genesis Recreation Pool in Masterton.

Nevatt's efforts, which included a disqualification after blitzing Russian Natalia Molchanova's world record of 160m by all of 4m, attracted strong support from the public, many of whom were experiencing their first taste of freediving.

And that has prompted Nevatt to return to the Masterton pool on Sunday, November 25, where she will hold a one day "introduction to freediving" course for anybody interested in becoming actively involved in the sport
