Leadership grant

Wairarapa College student Marlee McDougall is set to be a future leader.

The year 13 student worked hard to earn a $5000 scholarship to Lincoln University for future leaders.

This was awarded to her by Board of Trustees chairman Geoff Copps at the Wairarapa College Senior Prize Giving on November 7.

Ms McDougall applied for the scholarship in August and went through an interview process in October.

"I was quite surprised but I was really happy," she said.

Ms McDougall has had many leadership roles around the school, which she said contributed to her winning the prize.
