Raybon Kan
Well-known comedian Raybon Kan performs his latest stand-up show this week in Greytown.
The Wellington-based entertainer, who was born in Masterton, is coming to the region to perform Clear and Present Manger.
Mr Kan said the show was about the conspiracy of Christmas, and "blows the lid off the whole thing - but in a nice way".
"Anything people don't think about and that they take for granted ... there's a duty there to ask the hard questions.
"It's like the Occupy Movement or asking to meet the Wizard of Oz," he said.
"That's why we need important people like comedians to ask these questions."
Mr Kan said had done gigs in Wairarapa before, and looked forward to coming back to visit Greytown.
"Friends of mine used to have a cafe in Greytown so I've spent a bit of time in that main street. I even had Guy Fawkes there once."
He is encouraging as many people as possible to get down to the show, which has already has a fantastic response from audiences in Wellington and Picton.
"The more the merrier," he said.
The hour-long show will be held tomorrow at the White Swan from 7.30pm. Tickets are $20.
