Grocery dash nets big haul

There were winners all round at the Classic Hits 90.1 Wairarapa grocery grab competition as part of the grand opening of the refurbished Woolworths supermarket in Masterton. Pictured is 18 year old Lauren Cooper of Masterton who, in 90 seconds, managed to gather in her trolley $1497.00 worth of items from the supermarket shelves. She was given the privilege after winning a radio competition. Her t-shirt was made especially to cheer on her father, Craig Cooper, the Community Services Manager at Trust House, who won the baked bean eating competition. Earlier in the celebrations, Masterton's Mayor, Bob Francis managed to collect in 90 seconds $2088.00 worth of groceries which were delivered to the Salvation Army for dispersal to families before Christmas.
