Featherston in the lead

Featherston have the lead after the first six rounds of play in the Bowls Wairarapa McKenzie Motors men's sevens interclub competition.

They have 101 points, followed by Martinborough 94, Masterton 93, Greytown 82, Park 61, Carrington 53, Eketahuna 44 and Lansdowne 14.

Four rounds of matches have been played in the McKenzie Motors women's sevens interclub series with Masterton setting the pace on 60 points. Then come Featherston 51, Martinborough 46, Lansdowne 44, Eketahuna 30, Greytown 30 and Carrington-Park 7.

Park leads the way in the Hannam-Knowles men's competition in which six rounds of play have been completed. They have 96, followed by Greytown 94, Masterton A 77, Carrington 65, Masterton B 60, Featherston 57, Masterton C 51 and Lansdowne 33.

Tony Lee has won the Wairarapa Fagan Ford men's singles championship. He defeated John Mahupuku by a narrow margin in the final.
