DVD Review: Hamish and Andy's Euro Gap Year

Hamish and Andy's appeal means you will happily watch them for an hour doing dumb things.

Hamish Blake and Andy Lee are the clown princes of Australian television.

Mates for many years, this pair know just the right way to get themselves in the middle of plenty of fun and games.

Following on from their gap year in the United States, the boys set their sights on the many wonders of Europe.

But they don't exactly choose to do things the normal way. They prefer to take a different or more involved slant in their adventures.

The outcome is exactly the same, however. Everything they touch is humorous.

Hamish is the bright spark (or idiot) and Andy is more the voice of reason and tries to get on with things despite Hamish's nonsense.

Together they make perfect partners. Their adventures in Hamish and Andy's Euro Gap Year are many and varied.

Whether it is watching Hamish jump off Mostar's famous bridge, hitchhike racing, learning how to butler or race rabbit, the outcome is always the same. It is especially interesting when the boys compete against each other in bizarre contests.

There's reindeer racing, translation racing - which sees them try to make sense in Italian conversation with a local in Milan - or hitchhike racing, where the boys try to travel as far away as possible in 24 hours using any means possible.

The locals don't know what they are in for when these guys hit town.

Hamish and Andy deliver a great brand of comedy once again.
