Domestic row leads to charges

Masterton man allegedly found drunk sitting in his parked car on Saturday morning has been charged with a raft of offences following a domestic dispute with his partner.

Masterton police Senior Sergeant Warwick Burr said officers were alerted to the man's behaviour after a concerned member of the public saw him getting into his car about 10.30am.

Mr Burr said the man, 33, had been involved in a domestic dispute with his partner.

The man was found around lunchtime, sitting in his car on Lincoln Rd, and when spoken to by police became angry.

He was charged with one count each of driving while disqualified, disorderly behaviour, assaulting police and resisting arrest.
