Digital switch looming

From September 29, Wairarapa's television is going digital.

After that, everyone in the lower North Island who wants to watch TV will need to have Freeview, SKY or Igloo.

Going Digital Community Adviser Guy Burns will be at Carterton Library on Wednesday from 10.30am to 2.30pm to answer questions.

"You don't need a new TV to go digital but most people who don't have digital TV will need some new equipment such as the right set-top box and an aerial or satellite dish," Mr Burns said.

"To find out what you need to go digital, visit www.goingdigital.co.nz/myhouse and enter the address where the TV is located."

For more details, ask Mr Burns when he visits Carterton Library, go to www.goingdigital.co.nz, or call 0800 838 800.
