The Recreational Services Masterton depot recently gained Enviro-Mark Diamond certification for the first time - the highest level of certification offered by Landcare Research.

The depot's team have had the Masterton Parks and Reserves maintenance contract since 2004, when they started working towards the certification.

The Diamond certification affirms the company has a robust environmental management system in place for all work it undertakes.

Operations manager Doug Bayley said gaining Diamond status for the first time was a huge achievement. He said credit had to be given to the dedicated team.
