Man pleads guilty to child porn charges

A Featherston beneficiary, Stephen John Grigg, 55, pleaded guilty in Masterton District Court yesterday to several charges of possessing child pornography.

He has pleaded not guilty to the more serious charges of making the objectionable material available for personal gain.

His lawyer, Jock Blathwayt, did not dispute the fact the pictures stored on the defendants computer depicting an array of sexual acts between adult males and pre-teen boys, were in fact objectionable.

The man stood expressionless as the pleas were read to Judge Michael Behrens. The hearing was adjourned until February 9 at the Masterton District Court.
