A young Masterton man who attacked one of the town's street surveillance cameras with his skateboard late on Tuesday night apparently overlooked one possibility ? that it might take his picture.
Yesterday the man appeared in Masterton District Court facing charges of intentional damage and disorderly behaviour.
He was remanded until October 25 with conditions imposed on his bail.
The man is not to consume alcohol or go into Queen Street and is to live where directed until such time as his next court appearance.
Police apprehended the man after staff monitoring the surveillance cameras alert a police patrol to an attack on a camera in Queen Street.
